4095m altitude
Yes, we wash it. We climb Mount Kinabalu. Before you say more about this amazing adventure, I made a little summary of what we have done since the last jai wrote that message.
As I mentioned in previous the input, we began our journey to Borneo Kota Kinabalu. Saturday we went to relax on a small island near the city. It made us much good to rest and bathe.
Sunday we went to visit begins with the Sunday market in town that was installed along the street in front of our hotel. Cétait really fun. There was really everything: animals, food, clothes, etc.. The most fun in all this, cest that although it is clear that we are tourists, there is not hardly nowhere harassed to buy Bebel, contrary to what we had been used elsewhere in Asia southeast.
For dinner that day, I must say jai had a little thought for you my friends. We went to eat in a small food court and listened to the cooks of the big cheesy hard rock of the 80s. Suddenly, I hear they all put a whistle in heart a song. You Laurez guess cétait "Wind of Change"! Jai had a twinge of sadness ...
Monday, we headed for the Mount Kinabalu National Park. We decided to stay in a small inn has the outside of the park, much cheaper and really good. We finalize our preparations for lascension we would do the next day and have a little walk in the park. The mountain is really huge.
Tuesday, we go at 7am to the park to meet our guide and we had 2 french meetings the previous day with us going up the mountain. the first part of lascension was a course of 3300m altitude of 6km til til the Auberge where we were going to spend the night. you dont have any idea how exhausting it was. At this altitude, there are many doxygen in the air and we had to constantly stop to catch our breath. When we arrived at a post 3300, we ate and we went to bed immediately after because we were closed at 2am for the summit to be mounted inclus cloud cover usually just after sunrise, then cest better Detre before the fair if we want a nice view. So the next day at night in the cold and total darkness, we mounted the 3km runway remained quil inclus summit. This was again extrememnt difficult, but oh how extraordinary happens once at the top. We've been lucky enough cétait releases. Wait until you see the pictures ... We then redesendus the same day.
Yesterday we went to Poring Hot Springs to relax our sore muscles in the thermal baths and also make a "canopy walk" in the jungle nearby, which is to march on a series of bridges to the treetops. Cest la we had our first real encounter with the jungle of Borneo. Absolutely beautiful. Gigantic trees, flowers everywhere not many cons by Danimal because we were in broad daylight as it's more difficult den see, but we will surely take us over in the next days.
Yesterday evening we arrived in Sepilok, the center for rehabilitation for orang-utans. We stay in a hostel on the beautiful banks of the river Kinabatang. We will go to the park to see the orang-utans in a few minutes. Needless to say we're very excited if we consider that cétait a major reason why we wanted to go to Borneo.
In the coming days we will attempt to make an expedition on the river kinabatang to see more of the incredible flora and fauna of Borneo.
I restores news soon!
